Do I have to have the Uniform for the first lesson?

No. Please make sure you come smart in loose clothing. No Jeans. You are expected to have the Uniform by the end of your first term.

Can I have a Private lesson?

Yes. These are not designed to replace a class, but are very valuable to enhance what you have learnt in class work, especially when preparaing for Exams. It is not enforced, but is recommended to take Private lessons prior to an Exam.

All booked Private lessons must be paid on the day direct to the teacher conducting the Class.

48 Hrs notice must be given for cancellation of a Private Lesson, otherwise the fee is still payable.

What do I do if I wish to discontinue lessons?

You must inform the Dance Centre immediately in writing to West Yorkshire Theatre Dance Centre at this address

This should be received by the School prior to the commencement of the next Term date.

E-mail notification is not acceptable. Informing the teacher of a class is not acceptable. Telephone call is not acceptable.

Why is it so important to take a Ballet Class?

Students who are Ballet trained have better posture, more advanced co-ordination skills and find other styles of dance easier to master. Everyone, regardless or age, gender, size or experience can take a Ballet Class.

My friend is in a different class to me – Why?

This may be a number of reasons. Have you or they recently taken an exam and been moved into the next Grade? Does your friend take more classes than you? The best advice would be to ask the specific teacher of your class and he/she will be happy to tell you why.
